Viva Las Vegas

Daddy surprised Mommy w/ a last minute 24hr trip to Las Vegas! It was crazy, and I was nervous, but ended up having a lot of fun! He had lots of surprises in store for me. He came home Fri afternoon and declared "you need to pack for our trip" I told him he was crazy. But he insisted and told me that we were going to Las Vegas for the night. {Surprise #1} Our flight was at 10:30pm and he had already arranged w/ Ba Ngoai to stay w/ you. We had dinner plans w/ Ong Ba Ngoai too, so i literally only had like 30 mins to pack!

I was hoping you would be asleep by the time we left for the aiport, but must have sensed something was up and refused to go to sleep. Needless to say, you had a tantrum when we left. I felt so bad hearing your sobs =( I was already reluctant to leave you, so leaving you was even harder. But I knew Daddy worked hard to plan this out, and I also knew you were in great loving hands with Ba Ngoai.

As we were getting settled to wait for the flight, Daddy's friend Bac Dung walked up to us and I knew they were coming along for the trip! {Surprise #2} Bac Dung and Bac Nga are C. Ashley and A. Brandon and Matthew's parents who Boo is living with now.

We flew Spirit Airlines. They were having a crazy sale to Las Vegas. Our flight was $109 round trip, departing 10:30 PM Fri night, returning Sunday @ 4:30am. Crazy, crazy, crazy! But in the end, we all agreed that that short amount was perfect. It was tiring, but it was enough to have some fun away from home, but not be away from our babies for too long!

The flight was scary and rough, but we landed safely. Auntie Pam and Rick had done the 24trip Thurs and were supposed to be taking our flight back to Dallas. We were going to "tag" at the gate, but turns out that was Daddy's surprise #3. They pretended to miss us at the gate, but they were actually right outside the airport waiting to pick us up!!!!

We checked into the hotel so that Mommy and Bac Nga could freshen up a bit. They had plans to go out to Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, this is one of the newest hotels & casinos in Las Vegas right now - the entire place is sooooooooo nice! We were supposed to go dancing at Marquee, but then we heard that it was and outdoor-ish club, and it was just too hot for that.......... so we decided to just take it easy and have drinks at one of the lounges: The Chandelier. After drinks, we decided to try our hand at the tables. We probably should have called it a night though, coz we all went home losers =( ahahahaah!

Saturday morning, Daddy and Mommy lost a little more at the blackjack tables. And then we taught Bac Dung and Nga how to play Pai Gow. That was lots of fun, it's a much slower paced game so you don't lose your money as quickly! When Auntie Pam and Uncle Rick were ready, they picked us up for lunch.... at Palace Station's FAMOUS Oyster Bar. Mommy was so excited to eat here and to introduce this place to everybody! I knew they would all love it! This place SERIOUSLY has the BEST food!!!! The main things we order are: 1 dozen fresh oysters, clam chowder and the combo pan roast..... YUUUUUUUM! Everybody really really loved it! Unfortunately you will not to get try this place out until you are 21 though, because it's right in the middle of the casino and children are not allowed. =(

After lunch, we drove around China Town looking for a foot massage place. We finally found one that we all agreed looked clean and new enough (LOL). Even Daddy and Bac Dung got their first massages!! It was great! and again, we were all pleased!

After our massages, we went shopping. Auntie Pam kept insisting on going to the Luis Vuitton store located in the City Center shopping mall. This is the largest LV store in the entire United States! {Surprise #4}. Daddy had Auntie Pam help Mommy pick out a hand bag and wallet! OMG! They were so expensive! I can't believe I actually own 2 Luis Vuitton items! They are beautiful. Mommy got the Tivoli GM hand bag and the Zippy Wallet, both in Monogram Canvas.

Uncle Rick contributed for the first $ deposit! 

Our next stop was the Las Vegas Premium Outlets North. Our first stop was the Coach store for Daddy's {Surprise #5}. He insisted on a new diaper bag for you! We chose the Baby Bag Patent Tote in Silver and Mommy also got new sunglasses.

Then we went to the Disney Store and picked out a little something for you. We looked and looked, and decided on a little Mickey Mouse Cell phone. It was perfect, you loved it!

After full day of shopping, we went to the Bellagio Casino & Hotel for their dinner buffet. We totally over ate!  Then it was back to the tables to try our luck again. Again, the blackjack tables were not very nice.... but mommy ended up doing pretty well on the Pai Gow table.

It was 10:00 and time to head to the airport! Our flight was at 12:30am, we all had a GREAT TIME but we were all pooped and so so soooooooooo ready to see our babies!!!

What a whirlwind weekend, thanks to Daddy!!

Look what Mommy got in the mail. Talk about customer service! But I guess for the amount of money those things cost, customer service should be top notch!
